Welcome to Sporos! These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Sporos website, applications, and services (collectively, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use Sporos.

These Terms form a binding legal agreement between you (an individual or the entity you represent) and Sporos, LLC (the “Company,” “we,” or “us”). We may update or modify these Terms from time to time by posting the updated Terms on our website; changes will be effective when posted, and continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. Please review these Terms periodically for updates.

Eligibility and User Accounts

Eligibility: You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use Sporos. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that (a) you are 18 or older and legally capable of entering into these Terms; (b) all registration information you submit is truthful and accurate, and you will maintain its accuracy; and (c) your use of the Service will comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

Account Registration: To access certain features, you may need to create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current information (such as your name, email, and any other required details) during signup and to keep your account information updated. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. Security: You must use a strong, secure password and not share it with others. If you suspect any unauthorized use of your account or a security breach, notify us immediately. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to safeguard your credentials.

Description of Services

Sporos Service: Sporos is an AI-powered legislative monitoring and alert service that aggregates public legislative and policy information from all 50 U.S. states and the federal government. We provide timely alerts and summaries of legislative developments (and soon high court rulings, executive orders, voting data, and legislator information) to help you stay informed. All source data we use is publicly available – Sporos acts as an intermediary by collecting and organizing public data for your convenience. The Service may allow you to set up personalized alerts by jurisdiction or policy area, search for bills or regulations, and view AI-generated summaries or analyses of legislative materials.

No Legal Advice: Important: Sporos is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice or professional counsel. The information and AI-generated outputs provided by Sporos are for general informational purposes only. No attorney-client relationship is formed by using our Service, and you should not treat any content on Sporos as a substitute for advice from a qualified lawyer. AI-Generated Summaries: Some content on Sporos (such as bill summaries or analysis) is generated by artificial intelligence. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may contain errors, omissions, or misstatements and might not always reflect the most current law. Always refer to official legislative documents or consult an expert for critical decisions. Sporos simply provides a convenient research tool and alert system; you assume responsibility for how you use the information.

Subscription Plans and Payment Terms

Plans and Pricing: Sporos offers both a free plan and paid subscription plans. The free plan provides basic access to legislative searches and limited alerts, while paid plans offer enhanced features (such as broader alert coverage, higher usage limits, or advanced analytics). Details of current plans and pricing are available on our website. All fees are stated in U.S. dollars unless otherwise specified. We may change our subscription plans or pricing from time to time, and will notify you of any price or plan changes in advance. If you do not agree to a new price or plan, you may cancel your subscription before the changes take effect.

Billing and Auto-Renewal: By signing up for a paid plan, you authorize Sporos (or our third-party payment processor) to charge your provided payment method for the recurring subscription fees. Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing cycle (e.g. monthly or annually) by default. This means we will automatically bill you at the then-current rate for the next term unless you cancel beforehand. You can cancel a subscription at any time via your account settings; cancellation will stop future renewals. Cancellation Policy: If you cancel, your subscription will remain active until the end of the period you already paid for, and you will continue to have access to paid features for the remainder of that term. No mid-term refunds are provided for cancelling early.

Payment Processing (Stripe): We use Stripe (a third-party payment processor) to handle all credit card and payment transactions. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to Stripe’s terms and privacy policy in addition to ours. Payment Information: For your security, Sporos does not store sensitive payment details like full credit card numbers or banking info on our servers; such information is transmitted directly to Stripe and handled in accordance with their robust PCI-compliant systems. Taxes: You are responsible for any taxes, duties, or government charges applicable to your subscription fees (e.g. sales tax or VAT). Sporos is not responsible for determining or paying your taxes; you must determine and pay any such amounts as required.

No Refunds: All payments are final. Fees paid for subscriptions (or any Sporos services) are non-refundable. We do not issue refunds or credits for any unused time, partial subscription periods, or remaining alerts if you cancel or downgrade your plan mid-term. In our sole discretion, we may choose to offer a refund or credit in special cases (for example, as a goodwill gesture), but this will be rare and does not obligate us to provide future refunds. By purchasing a subscription, you acknowledge that you are not entitled to a refund except as required by law.

Upgrades and Downgrades: If you upgrade your plan, the new rate may take effect immediately and be prorated or charged in full according to our billing practices (details will be provided at the time of upgrade). If you downgrade or cancel, you may lose access to features of the higher plan at the end of your current billing period.
